This undercoat — a thin fleece layer around the roots of the goat’s hair — grows during the coldest months and naturally sheds in spring, allowing for ethical and sustainable collection. With an average fiber diameter of just 15.5 microns — six times finer than human hair — our cashmere is as exclusive as it is extraordinary.

Only a few dozen grams of this precious fleece can be combed by hand from each goat per year, making Alxa cashmere one of the rarest and most luxurious fibers on earth.
